философ, логик, социолог. Представитель аналитической философии, примыкал к Венскому кружку. Развил концепцию, близкую к логическому позитивизму (критический рационализм). Выдвинул принцип фальсифицируемости (опровержимости) в качестве критерия разделения научного и ненаучного знания. С 1945 в Великобритании
